About Us

TasteBridge is a Newcastle-based social enterprise empowering minority women through meaningful employment. It combines high-quality coffee, homemade local foods, and a platform for cultural exchange to foster community integration. Activities are set to begin in Q1 2025 with future expansion plans to other locations and a delivery app. TasteBridge addresses unemployment while promoting inclusivity and sustainability.

Our vision: To build a sustainable and inclusive community by celebrating cultural diversity through food and hospitality.

Our values: Inclusivity, empowerment, sustainability, and community enrichment.

Our mission is to “achieve integration through employment” by creating a welcoming space where diverse cultures come together over quality coffee, homemade foods, and locally crafted products.

At TasteBridge, we believe in achieving integration through employment by offering minority women meaningful job opportunities and a platform to share their culinary traditions. Through this initiative, we aim to break down cultural barriers, promote understanding, and build stronger community connections. Our menu features locally sourced, home-cooked foods prepared by women in our community, allowing customers to experience authentic flavours while directly supporting local talent.

Beyond coffee and cuisine, TasteBridge celebrates local artistry. We showcase and sell handmade goods and artwork by local creators, with a strong commitment to sustainable packaging and ethical sourcing. Our vision includes opening additional locations to extend employment and development opportunities, creating a ripple effect of positive impact within the community.

In future, we plan to launch a delivery app that connects people with homemade meals, providing an inclusive alternative to mainstream food delivery services. By combining entrepreneurship with community impact, TasteBridge Coffee Shop strives to build bridges between cultures and inspire positive change through meaningful employment.

The problem/Issue: Unemployment

In Newcastle and across the UK, ethical minority women, particularly those marginalised communities, face significant barriers to employment. Many are confined by cultural expectations, systemic discrimination, and lack of accessible work opportunities, which keeps them economically dependent and socially isolated. This not only contributes to high levels of unemployment within these groups but also results in reliance on government support, limiting economic participation, and hinders social integration.

Solution: TasteBridge

Tastebridge has the potential to bring meaningful change to Newcastle by employing minority women, particularly those who face barriers to employment. By focusing on economic, political , and social factors, the impact of TasteBridge extends far beyond just providing jobs; it empowers individuals, strengthens the local economy, and fosters a culture of inclusivity.
